Event Description
UDAAN 2k26 presents "Find the Bug," a marketing analysis competition by MAKAUT’s SoMS on February 24th, 2026. Participants will analyze brands like SBI and OPPO to identify functional, design, and marketing gaps. Shortlisted teams will present their findings at the Haringhata campus, with scoring based on depth of insight, competitive comparison, and communication.
Find the Bug
UDAAN 2k26, the Management Summit of MAKAUT, W.B. Organized by the School of Management Sciences (SoMS), presents the Find the Bug competition. A newly added event for analysing and finding marketing gaps in certain products.

1. Event Structure
Round 1: Product Analysis
Each team will be allotted one product.
Participants must identify:
• Functional drawbacks
• Design flaws
• Pricing gaps
• Missing features
• Marketing weaknesses
• Customer dissatisfaction areas
• Comparison with at least one competing brand is mandatory.
Round 2: Presentation (Final Round)
Shortlisted teams will present their findings.
Presentation time: 5–7 minutes
Q&A session: 3 minutes
2. Rules & Guidelines:-
1. Participants must rely on logical reasoning and general market knowledge.
2. Internet usage will be:
A. ❌ Not allowed (if offline event)
B. ✅ Allowed (if online research-based round) — clarify as per your format.
3. Teams must maintain professional and respectful language.
4. Criticism must be constructive and business-oriented.
5. Personal attacks against brands or individuals are strictly prohibited.
6. Use of unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification.
7. Judges’ decision will be final and binding.

6. Submission Guidelines
Written submission (if required): Maximum 2 pages
Presentation format: PPT (Maximum 6 slides)
File submission deadline: As per the event schedule
7. General Instructions
Participants must report 30 minutes before the event.
ID cards are mandatory.
The organising committee reserves the right to modify rules if necessary.
Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification.
